Originally, in my collegiate career, I began studying chemistry and, as the semesters rolled on, I decided my true passion was for writing. I left Yale University and my hopes to be a chemist behind and eventually graduated from Emerson College with a BFA in creative writing. This experience was further tempered while I was in the Army. In the military, I worked as a print new specialist. During my six year contract and multiple deployments, I had over 30 articles published widely throughout the military and civilian press. With this experience, I have been allowed to see an interesting mix of writing forms and have seen these different forms in practice as well.

Professionally, I currently work as a retail grocery manager; however, I have been a store manager with a restaurant, coffee shop and a chain drug store. Also, I have a umbrella business. Our work is a divided company. We have an online retail store, a business consulting firm and a business to business product solution center.
