Aside from being an award-winning reporter and editor, I am founder/editor of Ah-Ha Rancho Santa fe News at http://ahharsfnews.com that is the leading online community journalism site in the world based on per capita web traffic. I'm very adept at all forms of social networking, and, Internet-related information gathering and dissemination. I'm just tired of doing the business end of this, since I'm totally immersed in the journalism, which is why I'm responding to your quest. I've been to Salt Lake before and it's a dynamic place.
I won the 2008 first place award from the California Newspaper Publishers Association (CNPA) for local news coverage for covering the 2007 Witch Creek Fire in Rancho Santa Fe -- I wrote 15 stories and produced a dozen photos, laid out and produced the entire issue. I'm also an outstanding columnist and editorial writer with a great deal of financial and business writing experience. I have participated in two other CNPA first places for investigative work while with the Sacramento Bee's Elk Grove Bureau and won Florida Press Association awards for investigative reporting. My newspaper experience extends from covering the likes of Bill Clinton and secretaries of state and breaking national news to being named the top agricultural writer in California and micro-local stories. I also have been an investigator specializing in surveillance and associate curator of the Tulane University Jazz Archive to name a few other experiences. I am a graduate of Rice University (BA with honors) and the University of Wisconsin (MA).
