When I was seven, I started writing short stories and jotting notes on every piece of paper I could get my hands on. So when I turned 18 and discovered that I had spent most of my adolescence filling the pages of journals and notebooks, I thought, hmm, maybe there is a future in all of these scribbles. So after my high school graduation, I moved from my small town in western Pennsylvania to Florida to attend the University of Tampa and participate in their writing program.
Since receiving my B.A. in Writing, I have been actively working as a freelance writer while holding full time positions in both the publishing and legal fields. My published work includes fiction and non-fiction, as well as promotional copy used for company websites and marketing materials. My articles have featured a wide variety of topics including art, history, fitness, architecture, interior design, how to, and entertainment.
Currently I am the Managing Editor for an Online, Lifestyle Magazine geared toward Twentysomethings living in South Tampa. You can find it at www.diveintampabay.com.
I also continue to write for other outlets and build relationships with a variety of editors of both print and digital media. And hopefully soon, I’ll land that big book deal and make my millions! But if that doesn’t happen soon, I’ll always be happy as long as I can keep exploring the world and writing all about it.
