As an accomplished editor -- I am a former editor at a major metropolitan newspaper -- I believe that good editors work with what they see, but that great editors enhance a project with what they *know* and their determination to ask good questions.
I combine my writing and editing skills to several fields, mainly marketing (I have worked with many new business start-ups), health care (I write extensively on this topic for several clients) and education (I am a university professor who teaches writing and communication courses).
