I learned to read and write at the age of 4. My Nana read books to me telling me they could take you places your feet cannot. After a while I insisted she teach me to read so I can go places myself. I discovered long after learning to read that my love was for the English language. Since then I have become a student of sociology and psychology. My interest is in human behavior as a collective as well as individual personality traits and characteristics which contribute to their societal behavior. Having been married for more than 40 years and raised more than 13 children I feel my strengths are the dynamics of the family unit. I was also a nurse for a period of 5 years and learned the disciplines of health and wellness. Being a spiritual person, the harmony of body, mind and spirit go hand in hand when it comes to the 'whole' person who desires to achieve particular goals. I have studied Christianity and Buddhism, and explored other faiths drawing my own oppinion of the doctrine of these religions. It can be said I am a professional student. When I can I continue my education in subjects of interest in order to refine my skills as a writer.
