Hello, somehow I missed this yesterday.

I am an exceptional copywriter because: I am curious, I become passionate about clients' products and services, I have been doing this for 30 years. My first job in advertising was in traffic at Y&R — then a copywriter at Ogilvy Direct, direct writer for the Minneapolis and New York offices of Grey Advertising, founder and creative director of Ingalls Direct in Boston, owner, creative director, and chief writer for my own agency, McCabe, Duval + Associates.

I'm great at concepts yet also good with details (on or about March 23, 2011, pending shareholder and regulatory approval....) I'm fast, reliable, can change styles to match brand standards — or create a new voice for rebranding or company/product launch.

My true niche is direct response (in all channels). I learned my craft at Ogilvy Direct. I write to get a reader/viewer/listener response. I'm probably the only copywriter in the country who would rather write letters than TV spots or online video for YouTube! However, I'm a firm believer letting the client goals dictate the media mix and not vice versa.

Currently doing a lot of work in the financial arena — healthcare providers — law firms — animal shelter (pro bono) — spa — experience is pretty varied.

I won't work on projects that relate to tobacco or firearms. I don't write for companies that exploit or experiment on animals. I'm fussy about the nonprofits for whom I'll write. And I won't do political advertising unless it's for a person/cause I believe in.

If I work with you I would want to use a DBA name to avoid any conflict with my agency (to protect my company and clients — as well as your clients). I'm starting to explore alternative income streams for the future and think ecompywriters.com could be interesting.
