To be an exceptional copywriter goes far beyond just "knowing how to write." While being literate is, yes, a very important step one, the mark of an outstanding copywriter goes way beyond basic literacy. Most importantly, to be a great copywriter you must have KNOWLEDGE! After all, knowledge is power. I strongly believe in my preferred subject areas, know their ins and outs and details and intricacies, know how to conduct research in order to continuously learn more, and always keep a target audience in mind. My top areas of expertise are education, which is my current field of work, travel, which I am lucky to have fairly extensive experience in, exercise, literature, and food! When writing copy on these aforementioned topics, and any other topics for that matter, I am always conscious to be as simple yet entertaining and informational as possible. I recognize that verbosity does not always equal quality and that sometimes less is more when writing copy content.
