I've been writing professionally since 1998, when I began writing automotive calibration guidelines for Delphi Automotive Systems. While at Delphi, I also worked as an editor for the documentation group, where I led the battle against ambiguous instructions in our manuals. In 2000, I moved to Internet Security Systems where I created the Galileo project’s Installation and Administration documents. After taking some time off to raise my family, I began taking on free-lance projects, including creating online copy and editing the business plan for North American Toner. Recently I’ve published several articles on a variety of topics, including natural foods, recipes and cooking, popular culture, hobbies, arts and crafts, environmental issues, home and family, parenting, travel, social issues, humor, fitness, the English language, and American history.
I’ve also had some success writing poetry and fiction. My short film, zOm-B-gOn, won the Audience Choice award at the Mitten Movie project in November, 2009, and my work on the graphic novel Vogelien, with artist and fellow writer Jane Irwin, was recently recommended for young readers by the School Library Journal. I will bring this versatility, love of language, and passion for clarity to any project I work on. You can see my most recent work at http://hubpages.com/profile/Jeff+Berndt.
