My first area of expertise would be travel, especially ways to do it on the cheap. I like to travel, and being broke most of the time means I have to get financially creative and I am always on the look out for good deals. This is especially true for travel involving snow skiing since I am truly a passionate skier.

The second field I am comfortable writing in would be medical. I am very familiar with terminology, am trained as an EMT, and have written a good deal of medical copy for an outpatient rehab center in the past.

Field three would be product reviews, especially electronics and sporting goods. Being a skier, my buddies and I are always posting trip reports. Oftentimes I give in depth detail about my equipment in these trip reports, especially in regards to my camera equipment and ways in which one can mount it. I am also used to learning about electronics quickly, and being able to describe and sell them without actually using them. I worked in the home theater section of Best Buy as a part time job for a couple months.

Finally, I would be happy to write about alcohol and drugs. Being medically trained I know a good deal about the mechanism of action of many drugs. Writing for a rehab center helps with this too, there are a lot of drugs out there, and they've all got to be researched and written about. Finally, as a Hazmat technician, I once got to take a class where the state of Georgia taught me four different ways to cook methamphetamines; we needed to be familiar with the hazards if we ever responded to a call involving a meth lab.
