As a self-proclaimed trivia nerd, I have always been drawn to information-based literature. Whether I’m reading a book providing instruction on how to set up a nonprofit organization or an article on gourmet cookie recipes, I revel in the process of learning something new. Copywriting, for me, is a great tool to help organize my newfound knowledge into simplified language that is easy to remember. Better yet is when I am able to compose a somewhat uninteresting or complicated subject into a format that is not only comprehensive but captivating too. Topics that are of particular interest to me are in the areas of medical/health, food, education, social trends, children and psychology.

My professional writing background started with creating copy for flyers and brochures to promote medical education classes and special events. As a medical conference planner, I submitted grants to provide funding for programs which later evolved into work as an independent grant writer. I am currently working on grant proposals to support the mission and activities of community outreach programs, social service agencies and a natural history museum.
